What is Significant Insights?

My mission statement for Significant Insights is that it will be a place for meaningful and significant inspiration, motivation, and information.  I’ve been a speaker, teacher and television host for a long time and I want to take my years of experience as a Christian to help people who come to my blog to grow in their faith and to have a perspective on some of the things that are happening in the world from a Biblical world view.

I look forward to your comments because it will help me to learn and grow. I’m not big on theology as much as I am on practical Christian living. I’m interested in how we live out our daily lives in a way that is honoring to Christ and the best for us. Because I believe that God wants the best for us, but because our expectations are so low, we live well below what God has intended for us. 

Jerry K. Rose

Television has been Jerry Rose’s passion and calling for over 40 years.  This broadcast veteran serves as President and CEO of Total Living International (TLI).  TLI has owned and operated stations in Illinois and California; and an affiliate group of over 100 Christian television stations nationwide. It produces and delivers biblically relevant and compelling programs via broadcast, cable, digital, and satellite. TLI’s programming also airs in many foreign countries including Eastern Europe and throughout the Middle East.

Jerry Rose is a gifted communicator both as a television personality and as a public speaker. As the writer and host of Journey, a theologically sound, biblically based teaching program, he offers profound insights into achieving victory in daily life.  Jerry and his wife Shirley, co-host TLN Now, a news-talk program that airs live on TLN. The show presents issues from a Christian worldview perspective.

Under Rose’s leadership, TLI has gained both national and international recognition. Among the awards received are over a dozen Emmys® from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS). Jerry has been honored personally with distinguished awards including the Chicago Broadcasters Silver Circle Award from NATAS for serving the Chicago broadcast community with excellence for over 25 years. In 2001, he received the prestigious National Achievement Award for Radio, Television and Film from the Daughters of the American Revolution. 

Rose has been active in the National Religious Broadcasters Organization for over 30 years and served three years as its President. He is the author of several books, including Significant Living – A Roadmap for the Rest of Your Life as well as the autobiographical Deep Faith for Dark Valleys. Jerry is married to Shirley Rider Rose of New Orleans. Shirley is an author and speaker and serves as host and executive producer of the Emmy® award winning program Aspiring Women. The Rose’s have three children and fourteen grandchildren.
