I liked what you wrote about friendship. I think that in this day and age, people are more concerned about appearences and they want to maintain a facade. It is rare to find TRUE friendship because if you are not doing what "eveyone" is doing, or if you don't put on a front, then you are nothing to be bothered with. I have lived in a big city all of my life and they way I see it, people want to socialize and be friendly and party more than they want to be a true friend. It's almost like there is no place for authentisity and sincerity. There is much competition out there on who is who and on who has the best of eveything. Even in Christianity we see so much hipocrisy. I'd like to believe that there are people with the potential of being a "true friend", but even I sometimes feel like I have to put on a mask because people are so afraid of being real. It's like we drive people away when we speak from the heart and when we show our true feelings. Times have changed and people have changed with it. May God help us to stay real to him and may He show us how to show the true love of Christ to others even when we are ridiculed because of our beliefs.
